Toppings: I used Caramel SauceMelted White Chocolate, Peanut Butter (warmed in the microwave to drizzle), Toffee bits, and Snickers (cut into chunks)*
Instructions
Preheat oven to 225ºF. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
Wash and thinly slice the apples to about an 1/8" thickness. Spread the apple slices into a single layer onto the baking sheets. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake apple slices for 1 hour, flip the apples over, sprinkle with more cinnamon (if desired) and bake for another 1-1.5 hours. Remove from the oven and transfer apple chips to a wire rack to cool completely. Store apple chips at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
For Nachos:
Serve a handful or two of apple chips on a plate, then top them with whatever toppings you like. Make sure that you don't put the toppings on until right before eating as the apple chips tend to soften the longer they sit with toppings such as caramel or melted chocolate.
Notes
*Feel free to experiment with other toppings, like cookie butter, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, M&M's, or any other candy bar you fancy! The possibilities are endless!
