Hope everybody had a very merry Christmas/Hanukah/Kwanza/every single religious holiday that’s celebrated in December!

I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for 2015! There’s something so refreshing and inspiring about the start of a new year, and 2015 just sounds like a good number to me. Don’t ya think?

And for those of you who follow Numerology (the study of the significance of numbers on our lives), 2015 is a money year, which can only mean one thing…I’M GONNA WIN THE LOTTERY!!!

Probably not.

But a money year has gotta mean something good in the financial department, right?

Maybe…

While most people use the new year as motivation to kick bad habits or to overcome certain addictions, I think I’ve just created a new addiction for myself…

White Chocolate. Butterscotch. Puppy Chow.

I’ll tell ya one thing. If your new years resolution has anything to do with losing weight, you might want to stop reading now because you’ll gain about 20 pounds just looking at the pictures.

Then again, this is’t as unhealthy as you might think.

It starts with chex cereal. Harmless enough, right?

Then you throw it into some melted butterscotch chips.

Next, shake it all up in a large resealable bag containing a mixture of white chocolate pudding mix and powdered sugar.

And finally, add some white chocolate M&Ms for those devout white chocolate lovers, like myself.

Okay, so there’s absolutely nothing healthy about this treat.

Then again…the new year doesn’t “officially” start until 12 o’ clock midnight, which means you have all New Years Eve to gorge on this stuff all you want until that ball drops!

Now that’s my kinda martini!

So let’s toast to a new year filled with happiness, hope, and new beginnings!

…and more sweets!

How sweet! I’ve never made puppy chow – it’s basically unheard of here in Australia – but this looks so cute, i’ll have to give it a try 🙂

Thanks for contributing to The Sunday Brunch Magazine,

All the best,

Eliza and Bel.
